Grandmas Cake!

I have 2 large blisters on my right hand, one below the inside of my little finger and one on my thumb, for a blister they are utterly painful.
Why am I telling you this? Because these 2 nasty blisters are all thanks to the 'Big Top Cupcake'...
I followed one of the recipes they had in the book as it's my first time making a abnormally large cupcake, the recipe was called 'Grandmas Cake' and consisted of 10 medium eggs!
So I spent about 30 minutes trying to mix 10 eggs, an entire tub of butter and a whole bag of flour together with a wooden spoon, this I think is why I now have a blister on my thumb...

The other one is due to the inside of my cupcake, with these moulds you are able to put a filling inside, so I stood there with a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water (this is my poor mans version of a 'double boiler') trying to melt chocolate and cream. All was going well until the steam manager to escape from the small gap between the bowl and the lip of the pan, hence my blistered little finger...

Not only that but this silly recipe including 10 eggs meant that the cake overflowed the moulds and covered my oven when it was cooking, I wasn't too impressed trying to clean the red hot oven before my mum seen it.

However, despite all these cock fluff ups & the fact that I forgot to grease the moulds so my cake was stuck it didn't turn out too bad for my first attempt... I'm not a big-headed person but I will admit that it's actually pretty darn tasty and may be worth my 'baking scars'.
So feast your eyes on this beauty!
It's on top of a dinner plate so hopefully you can tell just how big it actually is
